PURPOSE: The New Mexico State Poetry Society (NMSPS) promotes the writing and enjoyment of poetry and is affiliated with the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS), which encourages poetry nationally through various activities including an annual summer convention.
MEMBERSHIP: Membership in NMSPS is open to anyone interested in poetry. Dues are $20.00 per year for adults (see form below) and $5 for students 18 and under.

The NMSPS newsletter is available to members online. Print copies are sent to those members without Internet access for free. If you have access to the online newsletter but still want to receive a print copy, you can pay $10.25/year to help cover costs.

- The quarterly NMSPS publication, Language of Enchantment, as well as occasional information about upcoming events.
- Privileges such as reduced rates for certain contests.
- An opportunity to list member's personal books or chapbooks, along with a contact phone number or email, on the website.
